I always wanted to visit the Jack Sisemore RV Museum in Amarillo, Texas — for quite a few years anyway. We road tripped to Kansas to pick up a part for our 1936 Ford pickup truck. Chuck surprised me with a side trip to the museum on our return home. Yes! it fulfilled my expectations and more . . . situated inside Jack’s RV dealership, TRAVELAND. This small but efficiently utilized space held a welcoming and hands-on exhibit worth every moment of our time spent there. Not only were there vintage trailers hanging from the ceiling/walls and stationed on the floor, but there were cases of various collectible items and a notable exhibit of one of a kind, historic motorcycles. Posted signs simply and expertly explained the origin or history of the displayed items. Many had been owned by family members and locals — very personalized.
Here’s a small sampling to enjoy:
1941 Westcraft Pullman Trailer:
1967 VW Bus:
1976 FMC Motorhome:

Hope you enjoyed your visit to this “must see” museum!!!
